Whilst I understand why you want to keep the stream to the Veo proprietary, limiting to streaming live only via the Veo platform is very limited.
I want, as a subscriber to the Live streaming capability, to be able to stream to YouTube, Vimeo, my website or any other platform I choose as the current live streaming is incredibly limited and doesn’t allow me to add in value add features that my club would like.
We use it for review and it would be so much more helpful to have an easy way of playing this direct to tv.
In a country like Colombia, it’s very difficult to use the Veo Live app since most people don’t have the ability to use Air Play or similar to project the games on their TV, so it’s very hard for our fans to commit to installing it. It would be great to be able to use live broadcasts on Youtube, which is an app that even the oldest Smart TVs have installed. I wouldn’t mind having to add an extra VEO logo or advertising during the games as long as it’s possible.
I have done live-streaming for a bunch of sports now. I have a HW encoder for my setup and have fully switched over to h.264 HLS streams. If you do start supporting streaming, I would really prefer HLS over rtmp (I would still support RTMP as it’s more common)
I guess this is now implemented
Streaming to Socials (Facebook, Twitch, Youtube and X) is now live :)
You’ve probably already seen these new streaming destinations in app.veo.co, but in case you’ve missed it, here’s a handy guide on how to add these channels:
