Is there a way to mute the video so there is no sound?

Thanks for the update. Per the documentation, it looks like the solution is to permanently delete the audio from the video.

Are there any plans to support recording without audio? That way we wouldn’t have to go through the process of deleting the audio after the recording has been processed.

Are there any plans to support a feature where only admins could mute the video? That way we don’t lose access to the audio permanently, but the team members and anybody we share the video with would not have access to the audio if the admin opts to mute it.

Stripping the audio is easy - command line with ffmpeg —>
ffmpeg -i $input_file -c copy -an $output_file. One line of code and a button should not have taken two years.

What is required is permissions to a few to listen to audio, to mute some sections or to mute all sections. All down to permissions so that e.g. we don’t broadcast foul language inadvertently on social media but also we need audio to feel the game if we are watching it as coaches e.g. hear the communication between players, hear controversial disputes etc. Will you please change status back please as we wanted a mute feature not a delete audio feature.

We also need a video trim feature so we can trim just the game only.

And don’t forget the ability to simply record without audio, if you wish to do that. In this old monster request, there are probably about 10 different feature requests. We could keep it open until all of them were built. One side effect of that would be: if we chose not to build one of them, then this ticket would never close…
Sometimes it’s good to clear things out, and start again. We’ve added some capability here, and made quite a lot of people happier. You could create your suggestions as a new idea, if you wish, but of course all the content above is kept on record. That means that if a team wishes to expand on any ‘mute’ capability in the future, they would be able to see your comment.
To my knowledge, there are no current plans to work on this area in the near future.
And as for ‘Trim’ - there is an existing thread for that one, you could add your voice to that and you never know, maybe that will be the one that tips that one to the top of a team’s backlog.

Easier way, maybe add a toggle button on the camera screen that automatically mutes the mic when recording.

I want to be able to force “Mute” on the video when sharing it, without removing the auido… As per a lot of the comments, there are times when parents say things they shouldnt, be able to force mute the auido button, would allow me to share with ppl with no audio, but keep the audio for me when I’m vewing, cause i dont mind the language.

would anyone know how to remove the mute feature so that im recording with sound?
