Trim the recordings#12

In case the video is started before the match would start, it’d be a great option to have the ability to trim the recording.

Trimming the recordings would be highly valuable

trimming would really help as most start the recording early and leave it running after the game

Despite clicking “stop recording” at the end of a game, it didn’t stop and now I have a 6 hour video for a 1 hour game. Idelly, it could be trimmed BEFORE upload to the cloud to reduce data and upload time.

Suggestion: Ask the editor to verify the following when they are initially opening the Analytics tab: Half Start Times, Half End Times (both of which are already suggested after processing is complete). Use the times to trim the extra wasted video out (archive it or delete altogether).

Just started to use VEO… 2 years ago someone on here posted that we need to be able to trim the video in the VEO editor after upload… a blatantly obvious feature when everyone starts the video minites before K.O. BUT… 2 years down the line with VEO Cam 2 now out there and that fundamental edit function still isn’t available. Can someone at VEO at least respond to these requests so we know we are all just not wasting our time giving you important user feedback?

I can say that your comments and suggestions definitely do not fall on deaf ears. We review every comment and idea that is shared here, so comments like your definitely helps bringing our attention to the improvements you find most valuable.
With that being said, I can definitely understand why you are looking for updates on this specific idea. It is definately one of our most asked for features but unfortunately we have not been able to prioritize it yet.
We receive many more ideas and suggestions here on ideas.veo.co than we can realistically develop, so we have to do a very tough prioritization and focus our effort. And when we prioritize we try to make sure that we cater to the varying needs of different user segments. This also sometimes results in some obvious good ideas (like this one) taking a bit longer to fix than we would ultimately like.

But to answer you shortly: yes, we do pay attention to everything here on ideas.veo.co. And whenever you and everyone else post comments like the one above it helps guide us on where to put our focus.

Hi Anders,

Great to see a response on this. I sense though that the priorities of the developers are not always being aligned to that of the users. This feels to me like one of the most repeated items I have seen on the forum.

Of course, I know that you want to develop all of the cool analytics etc, but this trimming feature would be a big win for users even if just at the beginning and end of recordings.

Now when the kickoff tag tell when a video is starting, the need for trimming like this is lower. And if the trimming feature makes me have to wait longer for the AI-analysis, then I would not use the feature.

Glad to hear @Keaveny73. We definitely listen and I can promise that me and the rest of our technical team will do our utmost to both keep prioritizing the cool new features as well alleviating pain points in our current feature set.
